We have spent the last five years testing out a wide variety of recipes, finding the ones that we like the best and then tweaking them.

Our recipes are always evolving, as we travel and try new foods and desserts that inspire our flavors. We often name our marshmallows after nerd & pop culture references, and celebrate geeky holidays.

DOUBLE DOUBLE, TOIL AND TROUBLE!

Two smiling women pose together in a brightly lit setting. The woman on the left has long, dark hair with gray streaks, wears a wide-brimmed black hat and black outfit, giving off a witchy vibe. The woman on the right has green-tinted hair, glasses, and a ruffled off-shoulder white top. Autumn leaves and Halloween decorations can be seen in the background.

In March of 2020, both of our jobs were closed for two months, and we filled our time with cleaning, cooking, baking, gardening, making jams and jellies, bread, cocktails (and everything else under the sun) when Serena decided she wanted to try making marshmallows. Vanilla and brown sugar bourbon were our firsts, and they were GOOD!

That Christmas, we made four flavors of marshmallows to gift, along with our usual cookie trays, and everyone LOVED THEM.

HOW IT STARTED

In early Spring 2021, we learned that our favorite marshmallow vendor was retiring and felt this was a sign for us to start our own business. By 2022, we were in a commercial kitchen & attending multiple artisan and farmers markets.

Since then, we've grown exponentially, found a new and bigger kitchen and are expanding into bigger markets and conventions in more than five states.

A cozy, autumn-themed setup featuring two wrapped "Brown Sugar Chai" marshmallow packs from Geeky Goodies, placed on top of vintage books. A clear mug of dark tea, a black-and-white plaid blanket, and a candle add warmth to the scene. A tea infuser, a blue 20-sided die, and a marshmallow are arranged nearby, all set against a softly lit backdrop of bokeh lights through a windowpane.

Her makeup is elegant, with bold eyeliner and deep red lipstick, creating a glamorous and sophisticated look.

DEANNA

Deanna is a licensed esthetician, cosmetologist and published makeup artist with over 30 years of experience in the beauty industry.

Her hobbies include: Historic re-enactments (renaissance, Regency, Titanic, WW1, WW2), researching and testing historic make up looks and hairstyles, preparing recipes from historic cookbooks and creating menus inspired by movies and books.

Deanna fell in love with macabre at an early age after watching Svengoolie with her dad in the 1970s. She taught herself to read at the age of four and then often took out books about vampires, werewolves and witches from her local library.

A woman with shoulder-length teal hair smiles warmly in a professional portrait. She wears clear-framed glasses, a burnt orange textured top with a scalloped neckline, and a black necklace with a small pendant. Her background is a rich brown gradient, creating a polished and inviting look.

 SERENA

Serena is a former culinary student with autism & ADHD who found a passion for the art of baking and candy making, and she is the main reason why we started Geeky Goodies. We wanted to create a career environment for Serena that can continue for years to come and that our entire extended family can be a part of.

Serena’s hobbies include anime-style artistry, writing fan-fiction and fantasy and participating in tabletop and computer gaming, always looking to go on an adventure.

Serena began performing at a Renaissance Faire at the age of six days old. An avid improv/theater kid, she also acted in her parents' home haunt and occasionally guest acted at various haunted houses across the country,    where her mom was a guest makeup artist, and entertaining folks is still a great source of happiness for her.

Beside them is a glass mug of dark tea, a metal tea infuser, a cork, a blue 20-sided die, and a black-and-white plaid blanket. Vintage books and a flameless candle complete the warm, inviting scene.
